waking up early is one thing im still not used to as an endurance rider. Its brutal especially when its those cold mornings. Here where I’m from we depart at 4-5 am already and with 160s you depart at 3 in the morning

Tbh I'd feel the same way about that vet experience. Idk why they wouldn't just take a look at it and clean it? It's literally the bare minimum they could have done? Very invalidating and totally undermines your experience as an owner.
I had to ask my dad whom had come with me to the appointment if I was being unreasonable but he completely agreed. We've had experiences of things being embedded in an innocent enough cut so it left me feeling very untrusting in that vet. reassuring to read someone else thought the same

My internal laneway is actually completely removable. This is my parents property and its quite wet in winter so being able to move paddocks around is amazing hey! They are just steel star pickets with pvc sleeves just incase lol

I actually loved the frankness of this video. I'm searching for information on CMT and you are the first that I've seen that I can relate to more. I'm still older than you, but am wondering if I will be a later in life diagnosis of CMT. I would love to find more of your videos. I will be looking, tomorrow, right now I have to finish getting my class ready.

I'm a half foot shorter than you, but I'm a size 10 in normal clothes. You're definitely not "chunky", you're proportionate. And screw the haters. I love horses, I have my whole life, but there are absolutely large pockets of snobby judgemental people in riding. I've simply found "my people". I actually started my own boarding barn and filled it with wonderful people I now consider friends. Ages 21-68, sizes 2 - 20. Dressage, hunter/ jumper, western, endurance... And the most supportive and encouraging people you could hope to find in the horse world. Find your people, block out the rest, and you do you!
It's so interesting seeing your prep. I have a yearling I'm planning on doing endurance with, and want to learn as much as possible before she's ready to ride. I'll be binging your channel!

Once upon a time in 2008 I came 2nd in Harvey WA 120 km ride. I miss it so much, horses and endurance. So glad I found your channel. Lovely to see you have a standy doing endurance! Look forward to more videos. Good going Cherry :)

I think they are really comfortable so suit riding but can be worn for anything basically

honestly love this video, im 5,10 and wear a size 18/20 i have a chunky 15hh stb and when i was a teen we competed alot but now im more voluptuous i feel uncomfortable showing, i used to get comments about being too big for him when i was a size 14 let alone now :( my vet and body worker have both said hes fine and he can carry me but theres just so much judgement in the equestrian world :/ i wanna get a show jacket embroided saying " my vet said its fine" but apparently thats not " traditional" and "frowned upon " to have giant writing on your show clothes

Nice video! Did you change you channel name? I feel you with the attention span, although people seem fine to watch 30 minute videos for the famous equestrian youtubers... I'd put up some shelves if I were you, for the stuff you didn't have a place for.
yes i did change my channel name! it was ponies on wheels but needed a change. to be fair famous equestrian youtubers tend to have much higher quality video production haha and seem to lead very interesting lives 😂 shelves are actually a neat idea! i'd love to spend a day at ikea and fit it out 🤔
@@PoniesOnWheels That's what I thought, I was wondering if you had an identical twin :) Idk, I don't think their video production starts off being good before they start making a lot of money, but it does seem to be a must to have multiple horses and to compete, or to be under 13... then you can make shitty 1.54 long videos in portrait mode and still have over 1k followers for some reason :D (I am a little bitter)
This. Can’t imagine the shitty comments you’ve received when I too have received unsavoury comments that I should stop riding ponies and I’m half a foot shorter. Honestly fucks you up. I’d not had a negative thought about what I looked like on a horse until that happened 😞. Yeah equestrian clothing brand sizing is just whack. I thought getting lines on your legs was a normal part of wear breeches all day 😂. They’s people actually who don’t get those lines? Do what doesn’t get enough attention is the exclusivity of tall boots. I reckon they’re worst then clothes. I had to drop 10kg to fit into tall boots and even then in most brands I’m a wide and have to size up in the boot to fit the width of my leg.
Word. I don't even ride anymore because steroids made me into a blimp 🤣 people would have a field day if I even thought about riding 🙈

i'll definitely have to look into that brand! i have seen them advertised but was put off by the way the owner dealt with critisim of her advert campaign of over sexualising her product.
